We Believe! (Editor’s Letter)
She Kicks, issue 34, April 2016 p.3
Jen O’Neill reports back from the inaugural SheBelieves Cup in the United States, a trip made harder by an airline and then a hotel losing her luggage for good, and says she is already planning to return in a European Championship year. Turning home, she raises a specific complaint about the new domestic summer season: English fixtures are sporadic enough to stop players and fans settling into a routine, and two games were postponed on the opening weekend alone. Because supporters now travel in far greater numbers to follow the national team and their clubs, she argues, scheduling and late changes affect far more people than the teams involved, and those fans deserve to be considered.
