Fleming: Feeling Proud (Amie Fleming interview)

Blackburn Rovers captain Amie Fleming explains how her side have improved so sharply on a season spent flirting with relegation, saying the aim is simply to finish at the opposite end of the table and to take three points from every game. She credits great personnel throughout the team and management and a squad that has just got it this year, combining quality, intelligence, creativity, character and determination around a solid foundation. The return of Katie Anderton has lifted the group, Fleming says, praising her ability to put defences on the back foot, though she insists a win is a win whether it comes by one goal or five. She is proud of a strong defensive record and would like to see bigger crowds at AFC Darwen.
