Heads in the Games

A light-hearted picture quiz challenging readers to identify six WSL players competing for their countries at the Paris 2024 Olympics, spotting Arsenal’s Emily Fox turning out for the USA, Aston Villa’s Adriana Leon for Canada, Manchester City’s Mary Fowler for Australia and Sjoeke Nüsken for Germany, Manchester United’s Hinata Miyazawa for Japan, and Everton’s Kenza Dali for France. Part of the magazine’s regular ‘Kicks & Giggles’ puzzle pages, it doubles as a genuine test of WSL/international football knowledge rather than a purely visual game, tying the domestic league directly into the season’s headline international tournament and giving readers a reason to look twice at players they see week-to-week in an unfamiliar national-team context.
