Asif Burhan meets the AFC Bournemouth defender born into football: her father Andy was on Liverpool’s books before playing for Southend United and Leyton Orient, and her brother Archie is also a Bournemouth player. After UNC Charlotte, where she majored in criminal studies, Harris returned to help an unbeaten side win promotion in 2025. She describes hearing her father’s distinctive whistle through a full Vitality Stadium as she scored, and learning from a 6-0 FA Cup defeat to Manchester City. Eligible for England, Wales and South Africa, she remains open to all three. She also cares weekly for childhood friend Marley Symes, who has Kearns-Sayre Syndrome.
