Her Goal, issue 4, March 2026 pp.68–69
A two-page presentation of FIFA’s January Transfer Snapshot 2026. Total international transfer-fee spending in the women’s game reached a record 10.8 million dollars for a January window, up more than 85 per cent year on year, across more than 420 completed international transfers, itself a drop of just under 6 per cent. England recorded the highest number of signings, drawing most heavily on Swedish clubs and then the United States, Norway, Scotland and Germany, and English clubs were both the biggest spenders, at over 5 million dollars, and the biggest earners from sales. More than 69 per cent of moves involved out-of-contract players; fees featured in almost 20 per cent, averaging around 140,000 dollars.
