Pet Corner: Emma Kelly

The recurring Pet Corner feature, with Newcastle United midfielder and qualified PE teacher Emma Kelly on Bailey, her Cavapoo. She made a dog non-negotiable when she and her boyfriend bought a house, and the puppy who ran straight to them looked more like a Bailey than a Hugo. In the garden he is a mini-Messi, ball glued to his nose and barking throughout; among current teammates she likens him to Jas McQuade for close control and change of direction. Molly Pike’s dog Teddy gets a shoutout, Beth Lumsden and Emily Murphy are the trusted sitters, Kelly suspecting that is really why they visit, and Demi Stokes, who only doesn’t mind dogs, is not.
