Flicks & Kicks: Nicole Payne
Her Goal, issue 7, June 2026 p.62
The film-themed Q&A features the Orlando Pride defender, whose recent debut against Washington Spirit was her first competitive action in some 439 days following an ACL injury sustained at Portland Thorns. The Alabama-raised Nigeria international, younger sister of Everton’s Toni Payne, picks Will Ferrell’s Kicking & Screaming as the childhood favourite her family watched on repeat, rates the recent Michael Jackson biopic and is waiting on Dune: Part Three. She recalls an Orlando team movie night built around Inside Out and its sequel, would have Zendaya play her on screen, lists Gossip Girl, Breaking Bad and Prison Break among her shows, and nominates Marta for a documentary.
