2025 Adobe Women’s FA Cup Final

Chelsea completed a domestic treble in Sonia Bompastor’s first season in charge with a 3-0 win over Manchester United at Wembley on 18 May, reclaiming the Adobe Women’s FA Cup they had surrendered to Marc Skinner’s side a year earlier. Sandy Baltimore converted a first-half penalty won when Celin Bizet fouled Erin Cuthbert, sending Phallon Tullis-Joyce the wrong way, before Catarina Macario headed in a Baltimore free-kick on 84 minutes and Baltimore lashed a third in added time after Lisa Naalsund failed to deal with a Wieke Kaptein cross. Hannah Hampton comfortably handled what Elisabeth Terland and Ella Toone offered. Serena Williams watched alongside husband and new Chelsea investor Alexis Ohanian. Cuthbert, to the BBC’s Jo Currie afterwards: “Sonia’s put a curfew on us the last few weeks, so I think it’s time to party!”
