She Kicks A Beat With… Libby Stout (Liverpool, USA goalkeeper)
She Kicks, issue 30, October 2015 p.50
Chris Brookes talks music with Libby Stout, the American goalkeeper who has been a chief orchestrator in Liverpool’s backline across two seasons and helped the Reds to a second successive WSL title. The 25-year-old, who arrived after spells with BV Cloppenburg and FF Yzeure and had been called up to the United States Under-23 side, says the 2014 championship was the first title of her career. Stout taught herself guitar about seven years ago after her brother threatened to outdo her, has recently picked up the ukulele, and has played ten to fifteen open mic nights. She names Kate Longhurst and Katrin Omarsdottir among Liverpool’s better singers and Katie Zelem as the worst but most entertaining, and admits her first CD was Backstreet Boys.
