SK Awards: Linfield Ladies dressing-room awards
She Kicks, issue SK22, July 2014 p.50
A set of tongue-in-cheek end-of-season dressing-room awards from Linfield Ladies, who are chasing the NIWFA Concentrix Premier League title behind Glentoran Belfast United while still in contention for three cups, with striker Emma McAleese on dishing duty. Sarah Venney takes both lateness, though she travels forty miles to training, and longest kick, and is named Belfast’s strongest woman. Chelsea Meyles is judged to have the fastest feet and the ultimate technique, goalkeeper Nicole Adams is the biggest diva for painting her nails before a match, and Kirsty McGuinness is the most superstitious with her fixation on the number 11. Nicola Gray is both gambling queen and unsung hero for looking after kit and serving as treasurer, while Debbie McCarthy takes best goal for a volley from the edge of the box.
