Born Kicking: Lana Clelland (Spartans) and Zara Colquhoun, age 8 (Glasgow City fan)

She Kicks, issue SK21, June 2014 p.49

The Born Kicking slot heads to Scotland for two contrasting subjects. Lana Clelland, 21, plays for Spartans Ladies, supports Rangers and Chelsea, is comfortable with either foot and prefers left wing or striker. She describes herself as versatile, creative and quick, names Cristiano Ronaldo as the player she would most like to meet and Juan Mata as an ideal team-mate, and recalls breaking her nose during a goal celebration as the funniest thing to happen to her in football. Eight-year-old Glasgow City fan Zara Colquhoun likes playing in goal because it is fun, would meet Jo Love and play alongside Sarah Crilly, and wears lucky orange and yellow boots. Her heroes are her mother and Julie Melrose, whom she watched while acting as a Glasgow City mascot and now wants to emulate.
