The back-of-book For Kicks & Giggles page carries two puzzles. A Spot the Difference invites readers to find eight changes between two versions of a photograph of the England Under-23 squad at La Manga, watching the senior side’s friendly against Norway; the answers, printed alongside, range from a missing pole and a vanished water bottle to an added pair of sunglasses and a new hairdo. A second puzzle, Who Is That, obscures five players’ faces with coloured boxes and offers cryptic clues, among them Queen of Europe in 2013 and a reliable defender quick to stop the Toffees coming unstuck.
