Lisa Evans

An interview with Lisa Evans, the Perthshire striker who so impressed against Turbine Potsdam in Glasgow City’s Champions League tie that the German champions offered her a professional contract for 2012-13 after a February trial. Evans says she is loving it, that food is no problem because she is not a fussy eater, and that although the players speak good English the coaches do not, so she is learning German daily and starting classes in September. She rates Glasgow City’s technical training under Eddie Wolecki highly and finds the biggest difference physical, with two speed sessions a week on top of endurance and strength work. Pre-season means three sessions a day. She picks out Patricia Hanebeck as the squad’s most impressive player.
