Locker Room – Kit Check: Chloe Peplow
She Kicks, issue 46, March 2018 p.70
The Locker Room’s Kit Check slot presses England youth prospect Chloe Peplow, who swapped Birmingham City for Brighton and Hove Albion in January, on her kit preferences. Her first boots were bright orange Nike Mercurial Vapors, still her favourites for that brightness, and she now wears Adidas x 17.1s, two new pairs courtesy of the PFA and Adidas. She admits boots and trainers are her downfall, keeping four wearable pairs of boots and around thirty pairs of trainers, and hangs onto old boots to build a collection or pass to younger players. Most at Brighton keep clean boots since dirty ones bring a fine, though she teases Ini Umotong for thinking black boots need no cleaning. She would kiss Messi’s boot, treasures her Birmingham FA Cup final shirt, and lists pre-wrap, a hairbrush and headphones as essentials.
