Kicking It Back (throwback cover + Corinthians champions)

Two small items across a spread. ‘Kicking It Back’ is a throwback page reproducing the cover of She Kicks issue #05 from November 2011, then priced at 2.75 pounds, which billed Jill Scott as a World Cup and video star, ‘Kaz Carney’ (Karen Carney) feeling blue and Kim Little as Scotland’s midfield gem, with Champions League diaries, Hope Powell, Kelly Smith, referee Una Hong and Jess Fishlock also promoted. Facing it is a photograph and caption marking Corinthians becoming Brazilian champions for the seventh time, and the sixth in succession, watched by a crowd of 41,130 at the Neo Quimica Arena in Sao Paulo. After a 2-2 first-leg draw with Cruzeiro, the decisive mid-September goal came from defender Thais Ferreira’s close-range volley on the rebound.
