SWPL2 leaders Boroughmuir Thistle defeated top-flight Montrose in the Sky Sports Cup, while Partick Thistle needed extra time to overcome Gartcairn.

Fiona Gibson got the only goal just after the hour mark that saw Boroughmuir eliminate Montrose, supersub Mae English grabbed a double to help Partick through against lower division Gartcairn.
Celtic edged out Spartans with a first-half Casey Howe goal, Motherwell were kept at bay by Hamilton until a swift late double, with Ellie MacDonald scoring directly from a corner kick and then Mia McArthur volleying home.
Hibernian stormed to an 8-1 win at Kilmarnock, helped by a Libby Smith hat-trick, while Glasgow City also scored eight at Livingston where Emily Gray claimed a treble.
