Birmingham City Women have signed Norway international midfielder Lisa Naalsund from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
Naalsund made 74 appearances and scored eight goals for United, helping them lift the Adobe Women’s FA Cup in 2024.
She was twice named to the Toppserien Team of the Year and won consecutive Norwegian league titles with SK Brann.
Making her senior debut for Norway in 2021, she has since earned 39 caps for her country.
Naalsund told bcfc.com: “When I had the chats with the club, they just gave me instantly a very good feeling about it. When you’re debating which club to go to, it’s always that feeling in your stomach, and that just decides where you go.
“This was the place that just excited me the most and the people were really nice. I think it’s a really good project here, coming up to the WSL, and I feel like the future here can be quite bright. I’m just very excited to be a part of it.”
Head Coach Amy Merricks said: “Lisa is a player who brings a huge amount of quality and experience to our squad. She has proven herself at the highest level in the WSL, enjoyed success throughout her career in Norway and has represented her country on the international stage for a number of years.
“She understands what it takes to compete at the top level and we’re looking forward to welcoming her into the group”.
