Wolves Women have signed Belgian international forward Yana Daniëls from Burnley, who helped beat Wanderers to the FA Women’s National League title last season.

Daniëls has played for her country 45 times and spent eight years in the Women’s Super League with Bristol City and Liverpool.

Her other former clubs include OH Leuven and Anderlecht in the Belgian top flight, as well as FC Twente of the Dutch Eredivisie.

Manager, Dan McNamara told wolves.co.uk: “When you look at what someone like Yana has achieved in the game it is an absolute no-brainer for us to bring her in. It is not just club success at the top level but her international pedigree with Belgium that makes her really stand out. She will add to our squad on the pitch but also as an experienced head within the dressing room and we are really looking forward to being a big part of our squad going forward.”
