
Leila Ouahabi has signed a three-year deal with the Chicago Stars, joining the NWSL side on a free transfer from Man City Women.
The Spanish international defender has earned 66 caps for her country and was selected for the 2019 FIFA World Cup, as well as the UEFA Euro tournaments in 2022 and 2025.
She spent four seasons with Manchester City, making 106 appearances across all competitions and achieving a WSL and FA Cup double in 2025/26.
Ouahabi told told chicagostars.com: “This is a new challenge in my career, and I can’t wait to meet my teammates and start playing. I look forward to bringing my soccer knowledge and experience to the team, and I want to give the best version of me and help my team do the same. Chicago is building a great project, and I think this is the right place to be to compete at my best.”
