Chelsea Women have signed Ireland international captain Katie McCabe from Arsenal on a contract running until 30 June 2029, with an option for an additional year.

She will officially join the Blues on 1 July after her current deal with Arsenal expires, having made 305 appearances and scored 36 goals for the Gunners.

For her country, she has over 100 caps and 34 goals, has been skipper since 2017, and played at the 2023 World Cup.

The left-back won the Champions League, WSL, and FA Cup with Arsenal, where she was named Player of the Season in both 2021 and 2023.

McCabe told chelseafc.com: “It’s a new chapter in my career. This is something that I feel I’m ready for right now.

“This club has been successful for so many years. I want to keep pushing and driving that, and for me, it’s about bringing that success back to Chelsea.
