London City Lionesses will sign goalkeeper Mary Earps on a two-year deal from Paris St-Germain on 1 July, after her contract ends with the French club.
Earps helped England win Euro 2022 and earned 53 caps for her country, while making over 100 appearances for Manchester United, with whom she won the Women’s FA Cup in 2024.
She also achieved a Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double with Wolfsburg, won the FIFA Best Goalkeeper of the Year award twice, was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2023, and earned the Golden Glove for both the World Cup and the WSL.
Earps told londoncitylionesses.com about the move: “I’m over the moon, I’m really looking forward to it.
“I think the club speaks to exactly what I stand for, I can’t wait to join and get down to business. This is the first day of the next chapter.“
“The vision and ambition, including the new training facility is incredible and I’m looking forward to seeing that develop, it shows what our owner Michele (Kang) and everyone at the club want to do in terms of really going for it. I think there is something really special here.”
“I feel I still have so much left to give to the game, and that’s exactly why I chose London City.”
