Leah Williamson has signed a new contract with Arsenal Women as she moves toward her 300th appearance for the Gunners.
She first joined Arsenal at the age of nine and has since made 282 first team appearances, becoming one of the best defenders in the world and winning nearly every club and international competition she has competed in.
The England captain guided the Lionesses to consecutive EURO titles, earning an OBE, a Ballon d’Or nomination, and spots in both the 2025 FIFPRO World XI and the UEFA Women’s Champions League Team of the Year.
Williamson told www.arsenal.com: “I don’t feel like I’m done. I think it’s really special to be somewhere where you care so much about the people, the project, the place. I don’t think it’s something to take for granted. After 20 years, I still feel wanted and I want to be here, so I don’t understand why it would have been time to leave this time.”
