Huddersfield Town Women have won promotion back to the FA WNL Northern Premier Division after a two-year absence following their 5-0 victory at York City.
They were two goals up thanks to two Rhema Lord-Mears corners, with Louise Biggins and Beth Ibbotson heading home.
Lord-Mears completed a hat-trick of assists by putting Laura Elford through on goal to round the ‘keeper and score, Tamira Livingston went on a driving run before slotting into the bottom corner.
Biggins clipped the crossbar with her penalty, but Livingston doubled her tally after the break.
The result put the Terriers out of reach of their last little rivals, Chaddle Town Stingers, who must win their final fixture to be sure of taking the play-off place ahead of Leeds United.
York City still require a point from their final game to ensure they don’t drop into the relegation zone.
