Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium is to host England Women in their final World Cup 2027 qualifying group fixture against Ukraine on Tuesday 9 June 2026.
The Lionesses will become the first England team to play at Everton’s new waterfront home since it opened last summer, marking another significant milestone in the stadium’s growing international story.
The fixture will be the second senior international football match staged at Hill Dickinson Stadium – a 52,769-capacity venue.
Sarina Wiegman, England Head Coach, said: “It is very exciting for us to be playing for the first time at Everton’s new stadium. We have always said that taking this team around the country is so important, and we’re really looking forward to playing in front of fans in the north-west. The city of Liverpool has a rich football history with many connections to the Lionesses over the years, so it will be a very special evening.
“Every game matters and this match will be the last in our qualification campaign. As always, we’ll give our very best to play at our highest level and put ourselves in the best possible place to finish the group strongly.”
The stadium is confirmed as a host venue for UEFA EURO 2028 and is currently shortlisted as part of the UK bid for the 2035 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The June fixture follows an April double-header in which England face Spain at Wembley Stadium connected by EE on 14 April, before marking the Lionesses’ 500th fixture in the away match against Iceland in Reykjavik on Saturday 18 April.
Spain, Iceland and Ukraine were drawn in League A, Group 3 alongside England as qualification for Brazil in 2027 begins.
