The UEFA Women’s Europa Cup quarter-final second-leg ties featured an extra-time victory for Sparta Prague and a win on penalties for Hammarby.
Hammarby had won 1–0 away to Sporting CP, but Telma Encarnação levelled the scores with 20 minutes of the second leg left. Extra time brought no further goals, and Hammarby eventually progressed 5–4 in the shoot-out.
Sparta Prague travelled to Austria Wien with the score at 0–0 after the first leg, and a quick exchange of goals forced the additional 30 minutes. Goals by Halli Berglind Gunnarsdóttir and Michaela Khýrová then put Sparta through 3–1.
Eintracht Frankfurt started with a 4–0 advantage over Nordsjælland and remained in control of the tie, with Hayley Raso among their scorers in a 3–2 away victory.
BK Häcken were seven up on Breiðablik and extended that to an aggregate score of 11–1.
The semi-finals will be played on 24/25 March and 1/2 April, with the first legs being: Sparta Prague v Hammarby and Eintracht Frankfurt v BK Häcken.
