
Newcastle United Women have signed forward Simone Charley on a deal until the end of the season, following her recent departure from Orlando Pride.
The former USA U-23 international made 14 appearances for the Pride after joining from Angel City in January 2024.
She also played for the Portland Thorns in the NWSL and had a loan spell with Canberra United in Australia.
Simone told newcastleunited.com: “It feels awesome. I’m really excited to be here and to get started.
“I’m excited to continue to develop and growing my game in a different way. It’s a great opportunity and it feels like a great fit.”
Manager Tanya Oxtoby, said: “Simone is a proven forward who has played the majority of her professional career in one of the best leagues.
“She has the ability to create and score opportunities using her power and speed, and she poses a great threat aerially. We are excited to start working with her.”
