West Ham Women have signed Norway international defender Tuva Hansen from Bayern Munich.
She has 60 caps for her country, including four at the 2023 World Cup, and played every minute for Norway at Euro 2025.
Her domestic honours feature three Bundesliga titles with Bayern and two Toppserien trophies with SK Brann.
Hansen told whufc.com: “I’m really happy to be joining West Ham United. It feels like a dream come true. I’m a natural leader. I want to bring my experience and winning mentality to help the team as much as possible.
“The WSL has grown a lot over the last couple of years so I’m excited by the challenge and to test myself against the best teams in the world.“
Head Coach Rita Guarino said: “The club have been monitoring Tuva for a little while now. She will not only bring a wealth of experience but also leadership qualities, versatility and game management both in and out of possession.
“Tuva has been a key player for her previous club and the national team over many years, and I’m sure she will be a real asset for this group. I look forward to working with her moving forwards.”
