Spennymoor and Accrington Stanley Women Triumph in Goal Filled Thrillers

Spennymoor and Accrington Stanley Women dug out high-scoring thrillers in the Regional Leagues, while Knowle, Royal Wootton Bassett Town and Torquay United all moved top of their respective divisions, and Histon extended their perfect form to a 14th match.

EASTERN – Histon Record 14th Straight Win

Premier – Stevenage sank Enfield Town 7-1 with four goals from Sarah Wiltshire, to stretch their lead at the top to 9 points. Royston Town are second after a 2-1 result at St Albans City, while Atletico London sit third with a 3-1 success at Harpenden Town, helped by a quick Brooke Haylock brace. Bowers & Pitsea dealt Haringey Borough a 4-0 defeat, watched by a crowd of 117.

1 North – Histon’s 14th straight win came with a 4-1 victory at Dunstable Town despite conceding the first goal, while Real Bedford Reserves put five past Thetford Town, and Stevenage Development knocked in nine against Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds, with three for Poppy Young. Newmarket Town’s 4-1 defeat of Hitchin Belles put them fourth, as Emilia Reinhardt netted a treble. Mulbarton Wanderers took the points 2-1 at Biggleswade United, and Cambridge City thrashed Colney Heath 7-0.

1 South – Chelise Fleming scored a hat-trick for Hashtag United Reserves as they posted a 7-1 win at Hertford Town, while Chelmsford City saw off Southend United 4-2 thanks partly to a Rebecca Hollocks double. Needham Market went third with their 3-1 victory over Colchester United, and Wormley Rovers’ 5-0 result against Stanway Pegasus moved them off the bottom.

EAST MIDLANDS – Dronfield’s Humble Hits 11-minute Hat-Trick

Premier –  Gainsborough Trinity lost to leaders Chesterfield FC with an Evie Carter goal, second-placed Loughborough Foxes Vixens defeated Stamford 4-2, and Rotherham United secured a 3-2 win at Wellingborough Town.

1 Central – University of Nottingham scored six against Sherwood, while Coalville Town climbed to fifth with both goals at West Bridgford.

1 North – Natasha Leach’s treble saw Arnold Eagles come away from Notts County Development 3-2 victors.

1 South – Newport Pagnell Town overcame Stanground Cardea Sports 6-0 with three from Francesca Partridge. Dunton & Broughton United’s Lacey Shilcock scored the only goal at River City, where they had Kayleigh Needham dismissed. Leicester City LFC were 4-0 winners against Netherton United, and Thrapston beat Brackley Town 6-2.

League Cup 3rd Rd – Asfordby Amateurs substitute Summer Reason grabbed the decider for a 3-2 win at Melbourne Dynamo, while Kristine Humble’s 11-minute hat-trick contributed to Dronfield Town’s 7-0 success at Chesterfield Community Trust. Anstey Nomads advanced past Belper Town 4-0, and Mansfield Town eliminated Northampton Town Development 2-0.

League Plate 2nd Rd – Millee Herbert-Clarke’s treble helped SJR Worksop secure a 4-2 win at Cleethorpes Town, while Nottingham Trent University edged past Basford United 3-2, aided by a couple of goals from Sarah Newton.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Two Clean Sheets in Four Days for Dartford

Premier – Brentford scored seven against Ebbsfleet United, while Saltdean United ran out 5-0 winners over Barking, who had played out a midweek goalless draw with Dartford. The Darts then won 2-0 at Aylesford, and Newhaven defeated Sport London E Benfica with Miley Moore getting the sole goal.

1 North – Leaders Hammersmith scored four in a 4-0 win at Hackney, while closest title rivals Bromley stormed to a 6-1 victory at Actonians Reserves, with Bethany Hull netting four times. Camden Town sit third on goal difference after a 5-1 result over Herne Bay, and Clapton CFC’s 2-0 win against Ashford United was watched by 158 fans.

1 South – Top team Bognor Regis Town were held 2-2 at home by Eastbourne Borough, while second-placed Saltdean United Development won 3-1 at Sevenoaks Town. Montpelier Villa beat Hastings United 3-1, helped by Chloe Debaes’s brace to leapfrog them in the table, and Ashmount Leigh drew 1-1 with Leatherhead.

League Trophy 2nd Rd – Millwall Lionesses came from behind to knock out Richmond & Kew 4-1.

NORTH EAST – Spennymoor Come Out on Top 6-5

Premier – Bradford City beat Sunderland West End 7-0 for a tenth straight win, Spennymoor Town’s Kelly Garcia netted three times in an extraordinary 6-5 score line for them at Brunsmeer Athletic. South Shields’ Madison Bouggess hit a first-half treble during a 6-1 success at Harrogate Town, Thornaby’s Sophie Curle scored twice in a 3-1 win at Alnwick Town, while Ossett United shared six goals with Ponteland United.

1 North – i2i International Soccer Academy won 2-1 at leaders Gateshead Rutherford, with Eden Burwood scoring the decider. Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves beat Washington 5-0 to leapfrog them into third, while Birtley Town are second on goal difference after a 4-1 result at Stockton Town.

1 South – Handsworth jumped three places to second with a 3-0 victory away to York City Development.

NORTH WEST – Stanley Stun Workington With Late Treble

Premier – Mancunian Unity’s 5-2 defeat of West Didsbury & Chorlton kept them top by two points ahead of AFC Fylde, who still have three games in hand after a 4-0 victory over FC United of Manchester, watched by 109 fans. Bolton Wanderers went third with a 2-1 result at Crewe Alexandra, Ava Hanson levelled 10 minutes after coming on for Bury to force a 1-1 draw with Poulton Vics.

1 Central – FC St. Helens are on course for the title after a 2-1 success over leaders Salford City, with several games still to make up. Rochdale hit six against Mossley Hill Athletic, who had substitute Courtney Chadwick sent off, while Atherton Laburnum Rovers saw off Wigan Athletic 4-1 with three late goals in a five-minute spell.

1 North – Hayley Bracken’s early seven-minute treble for Workington Town had them 4-3 up at the break away to Accrington, but Stanley hit back with three goals in the last 10 minutes for a dramatic 6-4 success. Blackpool lost 2-0 at home to leaders Bolton Wanderers Reserves, Alicia Scott scored all but one of Preston North End’s six goals against Fleetwood Town Wrens, and Penrith also netted six versus Haslingden as Abbie Forster notched a hat-trick.

1 South – Nantwich Town scored eight against Macclesfield to go as many points clear at the top, Chester’s 3-1 beating of Warrington Town lifted them to second, while AFC Crewe versus Wirral Phoenix ended goalless.

Alliance Design & Print Plate Prelim Rd – MSB Woolton won 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 deadlock at Morecambe, despite losing Katie Thomas on the hour mark to a red card. Altrincham’s Emily Rutter bagged a brace in a 3-2 win at Chorley Development, while Manchester Laces progressed 4-1 at Pilkington.

SOUTHERN – Bournemouth Sports Strike Late Decider Away to Guernsey

Premier – Wycombe Wanderers went seven points clear with a 4-1 defeat of Fleet Town, while Reading matched that score against Beaconsfield Town as they moved into fifth place.

1 North – Fourth-placed Penn & Tylers Green rescued a point at home to ninth-placed Farnborough, as Shannon Read cancelled out the opener from Eliza Andrews.

1 South – Bournemouth Sports Reserves jumped three places to fifth with a 3-2 victory from their trip over to Guernsey, where Florence Marsh’s double included the 82nd-minute winner.

Chairman’s Cup 1st Rd – Oxford City saw off a rally from hosts Wimborne Town to go through 3-2, Havant & Waterlooville overcame Ascot United Reserves 5-1, while Denham United had a walkover against AFC Stoneham.

Shield Services Group SOUTH WEST – Ten-Goal Torquay Go Top On Goal-Difference

Premier – Torquay United thrashed Saltash United 10-1, aided by Anthea Kaptein’s treble, to replace Forest Green in pole position on goal difference. Gloucester City scored all seven goals at Frampton Rangers as they went above them into seventh place.

1 North – Royal Wootton Bassett Town’s 8-0 win over AFC Brislington featured a Madeline Elliott hat-trick, sending them top on goal difference, while Mangotsfield United lost 3-1 at home to Bath City for whom Madeleine Brown scored twice. Corsham Town shared six goals with Cirencester Town, and Paulton Rovers picked up just their third point in a 1-1 tie with Bitton.

WEST MIDLANDS – Knowle Lead With Top Three Tied on Points

Premier – Hednesford Town are up three places to sixth after a 4-2 win against Port Vale, in which Leigh Dugmore scored a hat-trick.

1 North – Rugby Town ran out 9-1 victors at Leek Town Reserves to rise to sixth position.

1 South – Knowle now lead the table on goal difference from two other teams, after Nicole Jakeways scored both their goals in a 2-1 win at Hereford Pegasus. Droitwich Spa also moved level on points with Lamington after a 5-2 defeat of Hereford FC. Bromsgrove Sporting’s Elloise Russell scored twice but they were held 2-2 at home by Halesowen Town, while Worcester City Reserves edged Long Itchington 2-1 with an early decider from Rosie Roberts.

League Cup 3rd Rd – Alvechurch edged Shifnal Town 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 deadlock, while Redditch Borough won the derby against Redditch United 2-1. Chasetown’s Karen Harrigan-Clough bagged three goals in their 4-1 victory at Kingfisher, Lichfield City beat Leek Town 2-1 with a Courtney Dilger double, and Solihull Moors’ Annie Highway scored them a late goal for a 2-1 win at Leamington.
