West Ham Women come through Adobe Women’s FA Cup Fourth Round tie 3-0 at Newcastle United, as Viviane Asseyi features with a goal and two assists.
The Hammers took the lead in the last 10 minutes of the first half, as Asseyi tucked her penalty into the bottom corner of Anna Tamminen’s net after being taken down in the box by Charlotte Wardlaw.
Jordan Nobbs was unable to make the most of a chance for WSL 2 side Newcastle early in the second half, as Kinga Szemik got down to make the save.
Ffion Morgan clipped the home crossbar, and before the hour mark, Asseyi’s cutback found Riko Ueki, who curled her shot home.
Seconds after Emily Murphy was denied by a combination of Szemik and the post, Asseyi played in Sarah Brasero-Carreira, who slotted home a third for the visitors.
The Fifth Round Proper draw will take place on Monday 19 January at 7pm across YouTube channels for the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, TNT Sports Football and Channel 4 Sport.
