Bristol City Women have signed Arsenal‘s young striker Jessie Gale on loan until the end of the season.

Gale signed her first professional contract with Arsenal in July 2025, and has spent the first half of the season on loan with Portsmouth, where she scored five goals in 15 appearances.

Last season she helped Arsenal win the PGA League U-21 Division One title, while also on a dual registration with Watford where she contributed seven goals and five assists.

She has represented England at U-19 and U-20 levels, scoring four times across her 11 games for the Young Lionesses.

Gale told bcfc.co.uk: “I’m really excited to be here, it’s such an ambitious club and after speaking to the manager and players it sounds like a really exciting journey to be a part of.

“The recent investment from Mercury13 is really important but also the club is fighting for promotion, and you want to be part of a team that’s in match winning games.”

Head Coach Charlotte Healy added: “We’re delighted to bring Jessie into Bristol City for the second half of the season.

“She has shown her quality in the WSL2 throughout the first half of the season and we know she’s someone who can add quality to our group.

“She’s a young, talented player who is lightning quick and can cause real problems for teams, so she’s another really exciting addition for us.”
