Katie Robinson is back at her first club, Bristol City Women, after leaving Aston Villa, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract.

She made her Bristol debut in 2018, but the forward signed her first professional contract with Brighton in July 2020.

Robinson was loaned to Charlton Athletic before returning to Albion to win the Young Player of the Season award in 2022/23.

She scored 10 goals in 68 appearances for the Seagulls before joining Aston Villa in July 2024, playing 21 times for the Villans and then 12 during a loan spell at Everton.

A her first Lionesses call-up came in November 2022, present in every squad thereafter, Robinson helped England win the Arnold Clark Cup and Women’s Finalissima, as well as being the the youngest member of the squad as they finished runners up at the 2023 World Cup.

Robinson told bcfc.co.uk: “It’s nice to be back, it’s the club that I started my career at so it’s lovely to be back here again.

“I’ve had some good discussions with Charlotte [Healy] and [owners] Mercury13. Our visions align and I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to be a part of it.”

Head Coach Charlotte Healy added: “Katie is a fantastic player. She’s young, she’s quick and she’s so exciting to watch, I know the fans will be delighted to have her back at Bristol City.

“Over the past couple of seasons Katie has gained some fantastic experiences both domestically and internationally playing in the WSL and being part of the England Seniors World Cup squad.

She’s grown as a player and knows what it takes to play at that level. Her experience will be really important to our team for the second half of the season, so I’m delighted that she chose to join us and be a part of what we’re building here at Bristol City.”
